    Cape Verde GRANDER !

Congrats to Capt. Zak Conde, mate Steve Hall on Amelia for a 1150 lb. blue marlin yesterday in Cape Verde. Best blue marlin fishing on the planet.

    Thumbs up Congrats Zak!!!

Congrats Zak!!! Anyone hear what island they were fishing: (Antao, Nicalau, Vincente)? Big girls didn't show till late June / early July last year.

My reccomendations is to not make this a bucket list trip, but rather an every spring trip. The fleet based out of Mindelo allows for great culture and nightlife as well.

Money not an issue my plan would be: Andaman's to start Feb/March, Cape Verde April to July, rest and hunt in Idaho until October, then run to Mazambique Oct/Nov, finish with Ascension Dec/Jan. That year will be my "bucket list" plan.

How was your Andaman trip this year Amadou?

That's a hell of a fish for Zak and his angler Stephan Kreupl has now achieved that rarest of achievements, an Atlantic and Indian Ocean blue marlin grander!

That boat 'Dona Pi' is noisy as hell but maybe that noise helps as she's brought up some nice fish! Whenever I see (or rather hear) her I'm reminded of one of Roddy Hays's old boats 'Lara Jade' which was also a noisy boat but brought up quite a few big ones back in the day.

    mmm, Mrs Hays.
Isn't she still raising fish, Dustin ?

And no boat, bar none, was ever as loud as that damn 44' Striker, Cepheus. And she caught a grander, too. LOL
