    Boat Harbour Marlin Bite?

Anyone heard of how the bite is out of boat harbour? Been trying to get over there and it finally looks like we got the chance in the next few weeks.

its been slow ..water was still a lil cold as of 2 weeks ago.. lots of whites and sails ... few blues when the warmer "blue marlin water" pushes in... should get better as each week goes by...

The marina at Boat Harbour is a ghost town. As for the marlin bite, it's been hit and miss. Have been on Elbow Cay since the 27th of April. Water is still cool, been fluctuating between 78-80 depending on the wind. Plenty of great looking rips but not many fish on them. Dirty water everywhere in clumps all up and down the edge. Best bite for us has been south from Little Harbour to mid Cherokee. Had some decent mahi off North Bar. Boats to the north from MOW out to the little canyon have been getting some shots. A few wahoo still around and the blackfin are here in mass. I have not seen one yellowfin this trip. Should only get better if the water ever warms up!

Thanks reel fishy. Should be rough for all the Boy Scout Tournament boats then. I am glad we are just going for fun.

    Decent bite last week

I just fished the first leg of the Boat Harbour Roundup on the 21st. Did great on big dolphin, some smaller yellowfin, 1 sail, 1 white and a blue at around 600 lbs. Here are a few pics

Just got back from 10 days in the islands. Fished 4 days out of boat harbour and one out of west end. totaled 3 blues, one white and a few dolphin all out of boat harbour with nothing but a few cudas out of west end. pulled the hook on 3 other blues and got cut off by a passing fish on a nice blue between 300 and 500 lbs when he had 3/4 of the spool stretched out. had a terrible time keeping the hooks in em for some reason this week. Caught a bunch of marina fish including a nice tarpon in the west end marina. Had a great time and had some good fishing.
