Good stuff squid......we have been doing something similar with floss. But, I like your deal better. we were making the same rig with 30lbs floss and half hitching it to the hook. The only problem we lost several lures that way after releasing the fish. It is so hard for our crew to get more lures in CR. Also, the hook up ratio seems to be better than lure fishing but not as good as a circle with a bally naked. Most of our fish are with Pacific sails.

Thanks for the info Squid...
Truly first class... Are they fishing these rigs with the hooks snelled ?? If so, are they bringing the leaders out thru the inside of the hook eye ?? Also, are they fishing them with the hook riding in point Up or Down position ?? |

Most of what I have seen has been the leader not running through the eye. Don't know about how the hook is riding. I will be back there soon and we will be documenting exactly how it is done. |

I will do one better Bobby. Just got an email from Butch stating that the fishing is on fire in venezuela. He is in Aruba for another week and itching to get fishin. I asked him to answer some of these questions so we should get the exact method soon.

Huh? Not sure what that means. Are saying your reply was too short and you needed to type more. I think that has been on here forever. Sometimes you will see someone just post a pic and a bunch of .............. to get the minimum charecters. Is that what you meant?
I think it has something to do with detering spammers but I am not sure. |
