had slow fishin yesterday on way up here. had 1 bite all day and caught a striped marlin. a bit bumpy yesterday..... but today is ridiculous..... gusting offshore winds to 35 kts. no fishing today. one boat left and returned. a los suenos charter boat tried to get across the gulf yesterday and had to turn around and come here to carillo 4 the nite. oh well got to hang out with richard fr the GAMEFISHER 2 and sonny fr the WET ASS this morning at breakfast. got to hear some cool fishin stories and such.
It was blowing her in Los Suenos too...I heard some roads were closed because trees blew over???
Good luck...find us a bite up there so we've got a reason to go fishing!!!
got our azz handed to us comin home 2day acrooss the gulf of nicoya!!!! wow easily the worst sea conditions i have seen here by far although i am no long time veteren. fell off the first one at 14 kts pulled back to 11 , fell off another finally 8.5 kts got us the rest off the way except the last 6 miles where we were back on cruise. started out today at the 30/30 in piss green stuff and cold 73, another 1st here the coldest water temp i have ever seen . of course it was the upwelling from the offshore winds but man how ugly and no life birds or bait....... picked em up at 1130 and it took us til 3 to get 45 miles. goin back down off quepos 2maro in the calm water!!!
