Barbados international billfish tournament

Made the run up to Barbados today from trinidad about 200miles in about 10.5 hours sea was choppy and a bit wet
Tournament starts on Saturday so I will post up when I can hopefully we will have some good luck

no luck today for us one blind pull down late in the day on the rigger
i think they are 12 releases so far no one on a double yet

well the tournament for us was a bust we had one blind pull down and three wahoo for three days fishing and got the wahoo in the last twenty mins.
but as i am sittin here tied up capt frothy and the hard play crew are causign some excitment.
a few boats were tied with two releases going into today. and three boats added a release to their tally for a 3 way tie for first (would have been broken based on time obviously) but frothy hooked up with little time to spare and says the fish is coming to the scale if he can get it close for a shot. a 495 was weighed on the second day and the record is only 505 so i suspect a guy with as much experience as frothy isn't messing around. just spoke to him on the radio and the fish is boated and he should be in before the scale closes at 5 with the fish he wont say how big

we are sittin here on the fly bridge waiting for him to appear ... some excitement on the dock for sure with a record of only 505 and frothy boating a fish it perks some interest so we are waiting to see

frothy and the hard play team on their 31 bertram won it
fish was smaller than i expected at 411 and he took the win.
well done to the hard play team. added some good excitement to the tournament.
