i just bougth tickets for the whole family to go Ostralia Gold coast, need help with info about fishing and places near the gold coast and maybe a place I really have to go been that far
I''m the only fisherman in the family . every thing ill do have to be solo or maybe share a trip with other people.
I'm counting on you guys to help me plan my trip.
be resonable about the cost no 1000 for a day of fishing.
I'm leaving december 11 2010 for one month.

we are going june this year. ~ ...! I love fishing down there. you have got to be careful by all means ! there are things that can eat you and your family real quick especialy if you have some fish around or a bara is splashing around .. go on youtube there are lots of beach to lagoon shots and advice... I take raps,, small 3 wire short leaders with 3 x3 treble hooks that I splice into 20 - 30 lb mono to braid.. take crocidile spoons, jhoson silver and gold spoons, gotchas and 5/0 mutu light wire circle hooks. you can bring a cpl break down spiners to travel with and they still use yo-yo's bottom fishing or you can use a rod ..( take some good 80 lb braid and 80lb leader material to wind on their reels and just leave it with them when you go..) bottom fishing per person is around 160.00 australian / 120.00 us ) sportfishing... 360.00 pp on split trips.. boat to yourself 1200= 1600 depends on time and how far.. We go get a jucy caravan and we just drive.. you are going to be in rainy season.. bring a jacket have fun! google like cairns sport fishing and you will get lots of hits per city and see the websites to each.. baras are easy to catch in the rivers to lakes and you can even go get in a big croc clear dive cage with 2000 lb crocks after fishing..

prawns make good bait... they are in the rivers get the kids to catch them for you... watch out for crocs though.

I will be down in early june for two weeks, I have family in Brisbane and Burly heads. Went two years ago, just did some bottom fishing and some spanish mac fishing.

Quest:? where you gonna be and what part of june?

I dont really have much lined up for fishing this year but I am kicking myself. Im sure we will do some inshore and maybe some surf fishing. My inlaws have an old Bert getting a refit so I'm boatless
