andaman marlin bite's

hi,
just back from the andaman islands in india.
season is now over and we had good fishing again.
but now i have a question and hope there are someone out there and give me a explenation why this happen.
we been fishing one of our spots for marlin on day one, had 3 bite landet 2, this was around lunch to 2.30pm.
second day we fish the same spot,had 10 marlin bite, hooked up four and landet 2, again from lunch to around 3.30pm.
third day, you guess back to the same spot, 9 bite, hooked 3 and landet one, but this time all bite from 9am to lunch time, nothing after that, thats what puzzle's me
all days fishing where flat calm, with some baite on the surface.
hope to get some good input from you guy's.

The fish are like you the more you drink the night before the later you wake up.Its all about the bait out there when the bait show the marlin join the party.

Heard the weather was rough for you out there? Any word on opening the Nicobars? Also, what size were you seeing? Bills up around Narconderm?

March where very bad, from 10th till the end, never in 10 years fishing over there had the experience like this.
Nicobaren still out of bound, like to be the first one there, legal.
Last trip in April all marlin where only in the 180 to 300 lb range, guess they been waiting for the girlys show up

Thanks for the info Huuwi. I was over there with Gerard and 4Reel when we heard the weather was turning again and made a run for it. Can't say stuck in the harbor at PB for a week sounded like fun. That was my first time to a bar/restaurant where you couldn't drink in the restaraunt and couldn't eat in the bar; then if someone was a smoker you needed to just take your business outside. Gerry did rave about their shrimp curry though (Lighthouse). Great trip nonetheless and I plan on going back. I moved my trip forward to catch that bloody moon, wish I had backed it up a bit.

Good to hear you did well; I would love to hear some of your stoires with that weather out there.

did you made the trip back from port blair to phuket? must be a rough ride.
yeah, was a hard time for Gerry, first time in the Andamans, he was a bit lost.
and light house for a first time customer is kind of hard, special the cra... outside, dont get me on that.
other place they have great food, no question about it, the only thing for an old german,the beer sucks over there.
i'm planing now for the 2012 season, cant wait to go back.

Yeah, I took the trip back with Gerry where in Phuket he tried to wreck our livers and I kept up by doing equal damage to both our reputations.

I thought Gerry and the trip were great, only thing I would have changed was that weather and myabe the nightlife in PB. That has to be one of the most most vexing/infuriating places I have ever been. Trying to find the party or a good beer there reminded me of trying to find a good meal in Ethiopia outside Addis Abbaba.

Currently I am planning on meeting him in Phuket next season when he knows he is going and making the run back over with him to hit that bit in-between looking for a big girl.

Glad everyone mode it home safe from out there, seems an awful long way from home to have a problem.
