7/0 Eagle Claw circle hook breaking

This past weekend in the Haneman tourney we had on a sail that broke the tip of the hook off. Just wondering if anybody has had this happen with these hooks.

I haven't been able to get a circle hook to stick in a fish of any size yet...

I have seen them break on the 8/0 but never the 7/0. These hooks are really cheap and good for about 1 day at best. Had you used the same hook on a previous trip?

Don't worry, the cyntinory has been using them for years- just throw them out after every day of use.

Drag may be to tight. I have fished with these for years in Guat, Ven, Mex, Costa Rica... and even here and have not had one break yet. We are fishing with 7 to 8 pounds of drag.
