Hi, Sportfisherman Members! I am Doug Rollins owner of Complete Marine Inc. in Salisbury, MD. I have a shop in Salisbury and I am fully mobile servicing the lower eastern shore including lower DE. I have taken on the task of showing the Squidnation a little love for Bill. He is out of town fishing so I will try my hand at updating the project. First a little about me. I have been around boats and working on them all my life. My dad built a number of boats while I was growing up and I worked with him. I have done marine service work as a side business for about 15 years and done complete refits on a couple of boats during that time. I have always had a "real" job and recently decided it was time to make boats my "real" job and started my own company. I fish my last project boat out of OCMD in the summer with MoverII. I will try to post up some before and after pictures of Darlin soon. Enough about me.

Squidnation's engineroom has been cleaned out and is now painted. She was rough enough as far as ships systems and electrical that I told Bill we need to "clean slate" the engineroom. That should not be necessary for the rest of the boat. It had been pretty cold here over the last few weeks and the paint was slow to cure. I have had to direct my attention to the power plants which also are in need of some freshing up. I will get some pictures of them tomorrow. We are making some big decisions right now about electrical layout, pumps, trim tabs, hatch lifts...... I will try to keep you guys up to date when Bill is not around.

Dang Doug that looks GOOD! Another vote here for Fish Box pump and single levers. Maybe even a removable divider in the massive fish box.

Bogii - The engine room is painted. Probably gonna awlgrip it next. The engines have been taken apart for painting and maintance. I have learned more about diesels in the last few days then I knew all my life. Doug is amazing in that he will tutor while he works. I really needed a good understanding of the motors and I got it.

I have also learned that my previous mechanic was not all too truthful. Some explainations were proved impossible to me by Doug. One perfect example was that he told me that he founds all sorts of pieces of impeller in my heat exchangers. As an ignorant boat owner I took his word for it and chalked up some issues to that. Well - it was proven to me that there was no way that pieces of impeller could ever get to the heat exchangers. Absolutely impossible.

Doug is concentrating on wirewheeling the motors and replacing hoses while the injectors get serviced and the necessary parts for the engine room get here. I will be in Guatemala until the 6th of feb so I hope to have some good shots and details when I return.
