WHOAH! Another five star thread that snuck under the radar. Danny, I am impressed. Your work is fantastic! Thanks taking us along on the build.

Put the first bend into the rods yesterday. This brings the thread full circle for me

There is nothing like finding joy on a rod you built yourself

Congrats. Nice catch - made even better by breaking in the rods you built.

hey shoe, thanks alot for all of your help when i was building this rod(from tunaclub). got her all done and am waiting for my blue avet and something to but a good bend in it. its the same blank as you, but just HD aftco rollers and a straight butt. it feels good to have a rod that i built myself and know how everything goes together on it. i might try building a good fluke rod this winter if i can find a good blank for it

Nice job on the rod, have built a few myself. Every heard if you don't trow the first fish back the rod will never catch another fish? I don't buy that one either

Absolutely Phenomenal

Reel-deal-
That is just plain awesome. I think it's so cool that you took the time to learn about it and build such a nice rod! The pictures speak for themselves- you did an incredible job

I tell you, when you hook up with that first fish on that set up you are going to be grinning from ear to ear. Thanks again for posting it up- you just made my night.

Now go get it bent, and when you do, please put up a picture on this thread!
