Reel seat epoxy
Is U-40 rod bond suitable for a heavy duty tuna jigging rod to mount the reel seat? Does anyone have a preference that they use?

new to this, but the guy who taught me recently how to build rods been doing it for 25 years (Bogan) and swears by flexcoat epoxy. There is a lot of great guys in this forum who will give some great advice on it as well. good luck and post some pics!

I like Flexcoat better than U40 Rodbond because its "less "pastey" and FC will fill the gaps inside of the seat better.

I used Rod Bond on my dredge rods and 130lb Bluefin rods for the Aftco ferrels with no problems ---- guarandam to it'll hold for your jigging rod. Prep the blank and seat and fit properly and you'll be fine (forever).
