Finally wrapped her up!

Finished a spinning rod for my lil'bro and member Coores14 an up and comming fishing Capt. in the Fl keys.
Picked the blank up in the "sale" bin at the Highpoint Expo in Feb. for next to nothing. Did some research and am pretty sure it is an All Star blank.

Trimmed it to 7ft. and slapped on a triangular ALPS reel seat, cork grips and Batson guides.

She'll work great for yellowtails and backcountry snappers and small groupers.

Will hand deliver in OBX next month for family vacation.

I like it a-lot!!

For some reason, the triangle just fits in your hand correctly.

I have made a few offshore/trolling rods that featured a triangular shaped fore grip and have had nothing but positive reviews. Some say it helps to eliminate twist when fighting a fish and the same have said it just feels good in their hands.

I did notice a few manufacturers have started to put triangle shaped foregrips on rods. Not sure it has caught on yet, but give it time.
