daiwa saltiga rod?

Guys,
How are the Daiwa Saltiga rods? Any good for a first rod? I'll be using it for pier fishing mostly.
I think the specs are graphite rod and reel seat, aluminum oxide guides.

TIA any info you can provide on these rods.

P.S.: A local retailer has them on sale on saturday. I think they have them listed for like $50 bucks. Is that a good price on them?

for 50$ give it a shot, if you have felt the rod and think it will be what you are looking for. go for it. let us know what you think
