50 class standups with abalone inlays

Have been rather busy this year so far. I have been remiss, but will post throughout the weekend all of the builds that I have had time to photograph.

Here is a set of 50 class standups for a customer up in New York.

Beautiful work as always.

One technical question - Have you found that the diamond wrap on the butt wrap is necessary to keep the inlay tight or is it simply decorative?

Just curious - I haven't had any issues with inlay popping, but just curious...

Purely decorative. The way I look at it, its like looking at a beautiful woman dressed up in some lacy lingerie vs the "hustler" approach where it's just "there" for all to see. The wraps do nothing to hold it all together.
