Over the weekend report from Capt. Wilmer on the Guarimba II:

12 blues raised, 4 released
5 sails raised, 2 released
Lots of tuna - tuna everywhere on the Banks, 2 tunas kept for the table 80-90 kg and one over 100kg.

Last weekend the Playa Grande Tournament was held and 131 billfish were caught.

And, contrary to an article written in a publication recently - there was no sign of longliners or artesanal anglers.

Wilmer reports this past Saturday, 12 June, they caught two small groupers 5 and 10kgs. They went for swordfish - 5 bites, released four (two @ 30kg, a 45kg and a 60kg)

The swords were caught btwn Noon and 3pm by Bernardo Schummer (boat's owner).

Yesterday (16 June) Capt. Salazar on the Bird's Nest reports 6 out 7 blues, 1 white and a sail. The best part was we got a quad of blues!
