Surf fishing in Brazil
Hello everyone.. I am new to the board and this is my first post. I love fishing but dont get to do it very much-just once a year for about a week. I just surf fish mainly.
Anyways, I need some help. My wife and I are leaving for Brazil in a couple weeks and one of our stops will be along the coral coast for about a week. There is a about a 200 mile long stretch of shoreline with coral reefs running along the shore. There are no local tackle shops and I havent been able to find tackle in any part of Brazil in my past trips there so I guess I am going to try to plan ahead and order what I need here at home.
I usually just rely on the local bait shop to hook me up with rigs and advise me on what bait to use, my knowledge is very limited.
Any advice on what I should take? What type of rig would be good for waters that contain some coral? type of sinker and weight, line weight, type of rig? Quantity?
Any advice you can give me would be appreciated. I wanna hear from anyone thats fished in waters that contain coral like I want to do. There are also some estuaries and river mouths around. What type of tackle would work good there?
I dont want to take tons of tackle due to the excess baggage fees, but I dont want to run out either.
Thanks for reading!
