Quepos Fishing charter report 12-26
Fishing Reports from Quepos for the third week of December and the bite rises for the high season
Third week of December and almost out of the rainy season in Costa Rica but we are still receiving mostly nightly showers and mist during the day with more tourists walking the streets of Quepos awaiting the sunny, warm days of summer, and today was one of those nice sunny Costa Rica Days.
As we see the streets starting to fill up with avid fishermen, the bite here in Quepos has been pretty steady as of late, Offshore boats are getting multiple fish a day, Sailfish and Mahi-Mahi seem to be the main catch but there also have been some Marlin released as well.
The waters near Quepos have been brown with silt from the heavy rains and the runoff from the rivers and streams but that should be clearing up soon so the inshore fishing can once again resume so the fisherman can again enjoy the catch of a Rooster fish, Cubera, Snapper and other species.
By this time in December, the Papagayo winds that have arrived in the northwest Guanacaste area of Costa Rica forcing the sailfish and marlin south to Quepos and on to Panama. The Charter Boats are ready, the clients are here time to go fishing in Costa Rica!!

Quepos fishing charter report for December 17 had Captain Oscar fishing offshore in the hunt for a Marlin or some Sailfish. Another group coming from Jaco today to join us here in Quepos for a great day of fishing.
As they headed away from Quepos the weather was beautiful and it was looking like a great day, and hearing reports of multiple Sailfish releases on Charter boats this week our hopes were high for them to have some good fishing today.

With their cooler loaded with reinforcement beer they loaded up on the Mar 1 in hopes to bring the cooler back without the beer and full of fish for a great supper. They were blessed with 2 really nice Mahi Mahi and were 0 for 2 on Sailfish, they just wouldn't cooperate today for us
