Not too many fishermen have been in town, so we have been taking a few short trips ourselves.

Tuesday I headed out with 3 ladies, 2 of whom had never fished offshore before. It was a beautfiul morning. The ladies did a great job. We raised 7 sailfish and landed 2 and were back to the dock by 2 o´clock.

Thursday I wanted to fish for roosterfish. Marshall captained the Estrella de Mar and quickly put me on the fish. Thirty minutes into the trip I was hooked up with a 40 pound roosterfish. It took me 20 minutes to get the hard fighting roosterfish into the boat. Shortly after I landed another smaller roosterfish. Mark got is turn on the next rock over. Fishing two hours we brought in 3 roosterfish.

Our plan was to fish the hump for a snapper for dinner, but the seas were a little rough and we decided to head in before lunch.
