I already have the charters lined w/ Capt Dave M., but looking for advice if there is any good diving or great zip lines (no more then an hour or so) from marina area.

when are you heading down and where are you staying? I am going on January 29 and staying in Los Suenos.
LMCO;
I'm glad to hear you'll be joining us here in the Fishing Capital of Costa Rica-Los Suenos & Jaco Beach.
I have good news and bad news for you. The good news is that one of the best Zip-Line Canopy tours in the country is located only 10 minutes from the Los Suenos grounds. 14 Cables and platforms, and the last cable is one of the countries longest at 2400ft!
The better news is that I would be happy to make your Canopy tour reservations for you, and get you our exclusive discounted rate. The same holds true for the ATV-Jungle & Mountain tour and White Water Rafting trips.
Give me a call as soon as you get to your hotel/condo at
8372-2627. It's a local call from anywhere in Costa Rica. You are always welcome to call me from the states before you get here as well, toll free at 1-877-446-0653, and I'll glady tell you more about the many things there are to do in this area, and help you save a lot of time and some money in the process.
Chances are I'll be at the dock the morning you are fishing as we have quite a few clients going out on the numerous boats inour fleet every day that week. You are in good hands with Capt. Dave and should enjoy fishing with him for sure!
As for the bad news...the diving here is nothing worth mentioning, as the visibilty is poor, and I think you would be dissapointed taking the time and money to do a dive trip on this side of the country. The Carribbean side of the country offers great dive opportunities.
Hope to hear from you and always a pleasure to assist.
Not true......I really enjoyed my diving experience right outside the Los Suenos Harbor.......vis wasn't the best but loved all the caves filled with reef sharks and got to swim with a manta ray the size of two 35' boats stacked side by side........a freaken MONSTER. I highly recommend it as I will never forget that dive (maybe I got lucky that day....hahaha). I highly recommend Herradura Divers (right outside the gates of Los Suenos): www.herraduradivers.com. I think the dive was:
CUEVITAS (30/70 feet)
This is a dive site that runs along the west side of the Herradura island. Cuevitas means “Little Caves” and in the many different ones it’s easy to find white tip sharks and morray eels and swimming near the surface, barracudas and mantarays.
Definately Dive while you are there.....why not??

There is a place in Jaco that will take you on an atv tour as well as zip lines for a little over $100 they are right next to the Subway in Jaco. I was there 3 weeks ago and had a great time. The owner is is from the states and will take care of you. Dave will point you in the right direction.
What a small world as that's where my office is. LMCO call me as soon as you arrive in the area or stop by the my office, which is located at the ATV Tour Office right behind the Subway Restaurant on Main St in Jaco.
As I mentioned in my first reply I will glady get you great rates on the area's best tours. Just ask for Capt. Josh if you stop by, and If I am not there they will call me and let me know you are there.
I am arriving on 2/26 also. Hope to see you there Lockheed.
wear very washable clothes and a mask over your nose on the ATV ride, fun, very fun but a wee bit dusty. It was a cool ride.
