Los Suenos Fishing report with the X-Treme Billfish Team Bethina

    Capt. Glen finds the fish...again!!

Living up to their title as the X-Treme Billfish Team Capt. Glen (a.k.a "Fin Diesel")and the crew abaord the "Bethina" found a nice spread of Sailfish for our guests this week after a sluggish week for all offshore.

Capt. Glen ran far and wide in search of a good bite and found it yesterday, raising 16 Sails a striped Marlin and a few nice Big Mahi-Mahi.

A few late season rains and fronts, combined with our good ol' friend El Nino, has made for a late start to our Marlin and Sailfish season this year, compared to last year at this time, when the Marlin bite was on fire here in Los Suenos, and the Sails were right there with them already in force.

We are expecting it to bust wide open at any moment and upcoming reports will certainly yield tales of big numbers of Stripies, Black and Blue Marlin out of Costa Rica's Fishing Capital , Los Suenos.

Getting on the right boat can make or break your trip especially when longer runs are required to get on the stronger numbers of fish, and Capt. Glen and the Bethina team are well known for going to the X-Treme to give our guests the best chances of success. Just one of many reasons they are the High-hook boat in charter boat row many days a week!

If you are planning to visit Costa Rica's Fishing Capital at Los Suenos and you take your fishing as serious as Capt. Glen and his crew, contact me now and I'll arrange to get you out with this Top notch fishing team!

    Los Suenos Fishing Boats

    Zane:

Good evening to you. I am sorry to have never nade your aquaintence, however there is no need to open a bottle of Hater-Ade. Capt. Glen was not the only boat that fished that day, and is certainly the high hook boat MANY a day out of Los Suenos.

I have re-read my original post several times and can't seem to find anywhere that stated he caught fish while running. You must somehow have confused running far and wide to find a bite, and translated it into Caught fish while running?? Either way,it's not important ..you're just wrong.

Fortunately I need not lie at all as Bethina has proven over and over again to deliver the truth for me, and it is well known by the countless numbers of our guests and even the local "haters" that Capt. Glen produces some of the best numbers out of Los Suenos charter boat row. You dont have to like it for whatever reason, but it's still a fact.

Additionally, several of the other boats in our fleet also put out the extra effort to hunt fish, and deliver the better days to our guests. Nonsense would be the ramblings in your post, certainly not the facts in mine.

On a parting note, perhaps you are unaware of who gets followed the most or calls a few boats in once they find the fish, more so then most... The answer can be found in my original post.

Have a great day, Tight lines, safe travels to you , and Quit hatin' and go fishin'... Pura Vida amigo.

For the record most every boat down here pulls some plastic sometimes.

    Confused...

I watched the youtube and it is from 8 months ago.. Are you trying to make people think that was last week? Costaricasportfishing added that it was "the best he heard this season". I am trying to figure out why any boat down there in Costa Rica would be bragging about catching 4 striped marlin in 1 day last year??? Is that your best day?? According to the fishing reports and tournament results it would seem like that was a good day, but nothing to brag about 8 months later.. It looks like every boat in that Los Suenos marina did that. If there is any boat captain on this website who didnt... Please post it. Many, many boats caught 6, 8, 10, marlin and many more in 1 day last season. In Cabo San Lucas many boats caught over 100 marlin a day. Catching 4 in a day is a great day but if that is worth bragging about a year later by the boat that is high hook on a regular basis at Los Suenos then the marina and tournament websites are full of bogus and inflated information. Not trying to start asoap opra, just confused. Just my thoughts.... Thanks for reading.

Everyone who was around for CR's billfish season last year knows that it was pretty out of control. The marlin numbers out of Suenos around tournament time were sick...4 didn't distinguish you very much. The first two weeks of February down where I'm at on the Osa (Llorona bank) boats who were putting a full spread of big konas out at speed were raising 6 or 7 blues a day sometimes, not to mention a couple stripeys or even a black. The fish and the bait were here big time last year...everybody caught marlin and they caught alot of them.

ok morons, lets get the story straight. the assshole zane gray took down his original posts. In his original post he was talking about vidoe saying i was screaming on video that I had marlin on and he went on to say it was a sailfish. So I told him to check his facts and put the u tube site to look. And yes that vid was filmed during los suenos tourny when marlin bite was going off. Top boat in that tourney released 14 in one day. I was pulling plugs all through that bite and in 3 days we released 11 marlin. Raised over 20. We released over 60 marlin last season. Not bad for a boat on `Charter row`. Respect that. Keep on hating, cause I see the charter biz down here is in dire needs. No probs on my boat. I will continue to slay when I find the bite. Keep it coming. Cause I`ll keep on going.
