My group from Canada - the Magyar's fishing aboard the Mr. BII with Capt. Rick Ogle did fairly well, considering this was their first opportunity for white marlin.
Thu 01 Oct: 4 for 5 sails, 5 for 8 whites
Fri 02 Oct: 1 for 1 blues, 3 for 5 whites
Sat 03 Oct: 1 for 2 sails, 2 for 5 whites
They seemed very pleased.
Only disappointment - Marina Portofino was running with a skelton staff and had no dining facilities. Our expert transfer personnel filled the gap by taking them out to dinner every night.
Our group from Philly fished on the "Mr. BII" with so-so results. It wasn't the boat or the group fishing, the fish were not interested. According to Capt. Rick Ogle -"They caught 6 first day out of 11 bites, second day 1 for 7,third day 2 for 5 saw 7"
Looks like the season is running late. "Guarimba II" reporting their last four day trip:
