Remember to keep watching this page for updates as we get them. Casa Vieja Lodge is the number one facility with the largest fleet in Guatemala, operating from the safe and secure Marina Pez Vela, and adjacent to the cruise terminal.

Capt. Chris Sheeder on the "Rum Line" has this to report:
"Just a little update on what's going down here at Casa Vieja for the past little while, Nov. 6th through the 8th saw the Texas boys, Andrew Martin, Lelo Diaz, Colby and Hampton Stewart, and Bob Koranek get a good dose of Sailfishing Guatemala style. The group raised 94 sails releasing 47 of them on board the Intensity.
Roy Cronacher decided to spend a week fishing Nov. 13th through the 19th with his buddies Don McIntosh, from the Bahamas, Terry West, from North Carolina, and Erich Rscher from Germany. The group raised 87 Sailfish and two Blue Marlin, catching 48 sails in total aboard the RumLine.
The 20th through the 22nd Jim Turner and his band of anglers took over on the RumLine to not only participate, but win the 2009 Presidential Challenge of Guatemala. The team, consisting of Jim, Juan Anon, from Colorado, and Jairo DeLeon, from here in Guatemala, ended day one in third place and stepped forward every day there on out finishing day three releasing 40 Sails and a Blue Marlin.
Oh and by the way, for all of you wondering when you should be here, well... the last two days, fishing with Steve Fanscy we've raised 174 Sails and 3 Blue Marlin, catching 84 Sails and a Blue at 325lbs. And he's here by himself!!!...with no one else fishing any of the other boats. More to come... Fishing is RED HOT RIGHT NOW!!!
