Ok,
The low season is almost over, all the charters boats are in a hurry to finish their boats for the annual maintenance,

The report was 2 boats fish oct-02 and 1 boat release 2 sails of 4 bites and lost a blue after the line break, the another boat release a 250 lbs blue and relese 2 sails of 5 bites only 14 miles out from the Marina Pez Vela,

I fished aboard the LA PENULTIMA in oct-03, i run to the numbers they gave me and start fishing in 13-40 and 90-42

After 20 minutes of trolling we raised a blue and he atack the center teaser jumping almost complete out of the water, the mate drop the mackerel and sancocho

,

We end the day at 2 pm with 10 sails in the spread, 6 bites and 4 releases and 1 blue marlin bite, 2 dorados,

HOOKED UP 5 sails, 4 bites and 2 release
TRIPLETA 16 sails, 13 bites and 6 release and 1 blue no bite
ANIMO 5 sails, 4 bites and 3 release,

You're right the blues are around. The Petzer group from the UK, fishing out Casa Vieja Lodge on the "Finest Kind" with Capt. Chico, "Intensity" with Capt. Chris and "Fishy Business" with Capt. Nestor had several 375-400 blues raised and released two. The group also raised 78 sails, releasing 44. Looks like the season is getting a fine start.
