Looking for someone interested in schooling one of my captains on Snook (and other light tackle)fishing and getting an opinion of our possibilities.
We have an established Resort and Charter operation in Panama but we mostly fish offhsore. We operate out of a remote estuary where the locals routinely take Snook in the 40-50 lb class - I know because I have bought them weigheded for my restaurant.
Unfortunately they are netting them mostly but there have been recent crackdowns on the netting and I want to evaluate the viability of this fishery along with other light tackle and fly possibilities.
Will exchange one to three days fishing and room for one person who can convince me they are serious about evaluating our fishery and training our captain and mate. Captain is American but with little real inshore experience, mate is Panamanian so Spanish a plus but not necessary.
Not interested in anyone looking for a trip to Panama to party, chase tail, etc - I have funded enough of that already in getting this place going - SERIOUS ANGLERS ONLY. We have two boats customized for the inshore trips. Offer good for one only - any company will have to pay.
Can work out a referral agreement to send and/or bring down groups if it looks feasible. You can check out the Resort at www.losbuzos.net
Spirit flies out of Lauderdale for around $175 and the direct bus goes to Las Tablas for $10. I can get you from there. Direct charter flights available for big spenders and paying guests.
