“Hola Amigos!!
I Hope you all doing Great at Work and Home,
The beginning of the year had started slow but it has come up to a great month ending,
We started with Mr. Mark Powers, he fished with us at the end of the year and had such a great time that he come back again to fish on the 8th, along with his beautiful wife and a few friends, we went from slow morning with a few releases, to a Great afernoon with 18 Sails Raised and 17 Bites and 11 Releases - once again they had a fantastic day!!!!!
Our next trip was on the 12th, we had a very late morning with Adam la Rosa and a group of friends fishing for one day, we stayed inshore and we head back earlier but we still raised 8, 7 bites and caught 5 sails.
Next two days we had Denna Serra caught 4 out of 4 on a pretty high seas and Wallace Darnelle caught 4 out of 6 still choppy but they all enjoyed just being out sea.
On the 21th thru 23th we join the Stu Apte Fly Fishing Tournament fishing with Mr Richard & Nancy Swisstack., very tough to get those fish to tease to the fly, after 3 days of fishing we did ok, enough to have Mrs. Swisstack take home Top Lady Angler of the Tournament - congrats Mrs. Swisstack!!
We have the pleasure to have once again former owner Bill Gooch fishing with his group of friends fishing along with Finest Kind and Rum Line. We started to see more fish and first day we raised 23 Sails – 20 bites, caught 12. Great way to start. Second day was about the same, ran 20 miles as soon as we started we have our first sail hooked, we ending up with 24 Raised – 17 bites and 13 released - another good day. Third day was even better the good bite started just at noon till we pulled the lines out, Raising 42 Sails - 32 Bites and we caught 26. What a trip Just like the old times!!!!!!!!!
Last weekend we had the pleasure to take Chief Tauzin Leading a team for the "No Sancocho" Tournament along with his friends Andre Fencht and Travis Findley, The practice day was Incredible raising 44 Sails- 35 Bites and 23 Released - Plenty of Sail to get the all the practice need it.
Day 1. Fishing just 6 miles offshore the practice day was really worth it raising 38, 37 bites, catching 30 sails, we end up day one on 3rd place just two sails behind from first place Rum Line and one sail from 2nd place Decisive.
Day 2. W had lack of luck but still raising 22, 20 bites and catching . Now the Decisive moved to First place and Rum Line still in Second, we had the Allure tie us on third place.
Day 3. now the top boats had gone ahead for about 10 sails and we need it to keep up with the rest of the fleet behing us, at noon we where fifth, but we did a Great come back to end up with 22 out of 28 Bites Raised 32 Sails to Take Third Place Overall, with Rum Line second, and Decisive in First, out of 11 teams that was very honorable place. Andre and Travis had never fished before this kind of Tournaments, Great Job Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!
So Fish still Here, and We are Ready to get you to the Best Billfishing Experience!!
Have a Great Year Begin Hasta Pronto”
