    Capt. Chris Sheeder's Fishing report…

Torneo Internacional de Pesca de El Salvador
The Rum Line Continued with success, winning the sailfish division of the Torneo Internacional de Pesca de El Salvador held Nov. 25-27. During the three day tournament we caught 86 sails and raised over 180 and 3 blues! Congratulations to Davis Clapp, Juanga Lopez and Franz Hoffmann.

    Chris Martin
On Dec. 3 Chris Martin after breaking one off on the day before, caught his first Blue Marlin on the fly! The 225lb. fish showed off its acrobatics and brute strength for just over an hour before being subdued.

    Mitchell group
The Mitchell group took over the Rum Line Dec. 5th – 7th and had three great days of action, they caught 29 of 72 sails and 2 of 4 blues weighing 250lbs. and 350lbs. Both blues were released on the last day, and before we hit the dock the group had already planned their return.

Following the Mitchell group, we had the Delbosque (8-9-10) fly anglers aboard Rum Line - raising 46 sails, released 7 on fly. Raised and hooked one blue, but lost it. Their numbers on Spindrift - raising 20 sails, releasing 5. But this time hooking and releasing one 250lb blue marlin on the fly.

Bruce Neandross and friends ( 8-9-10) fishing on the Captain Hook raised 59 sails, releasing 9 sails in rough water and raised a monster blue, but it wouldn't take.

Mr. & Mrs. Schneider (5 & 7) fishing aboard Makaira raised 37 and released 18.

Then the Combs Group of 23 (10 & 11) fishing aboard Rum Line, Captain Hook, Spindrift and two other local boats raised 69 fish their first day, releasing 26 and one on fly. Their second day they found the fish, raising 130, releasing 67. And raising two blues, releasing 1 - 80lb conventional and one 350lb on the fly.

Next group - Tom Paul, Craig Zoufaly and Dave Davies (13-14-15) fishing on Rum Line raising 89, releasing 32 sails and raising two blues, but no bite.

DeVarona family (17) fishing there now aboard Rum Line - raised 42 and released 28 sails.
