FAIRFIELD Fishing has been slow since the fish kill in September of 2010. TPWD is currently stocking the lake. Redfish and black bass survived the kill in limited numbers.

Black bass are good on 3/4oz. football head jigs with LFT Hyper Freak trailers, Carolina rigs and deep diving crankbaits in deeper water along main lake humps, drops and brush piles. There has been a good shallow bite early on topwaters and soft plastics and reports of fish schooling mid day around bridges. The night bite has been good after midnight.
