Salvage
Hey ReelFishy...
I would think a "tad" bit more then 10% on hull value for salvage.. I hope there is no clause in the insurance if alcohol was involved.... that would hurt!!

i agree w/ the exeption of the "if he was intoxicated" part .i think he's a blasted idiot. He sank one of my favorite boats. I'd kill 'im.
What a flippin idiot. I hope he trips and breaks his nose on a wooden dock and gets a 3 inch splinter to go along w/ it. idiot |

thats ashame i just talked to the old capt rick and he told me the story about how the capt was drunk he blew a 1.9 for the police but weaver told him that they looked at the boat they said that there were spiral marks down the shafts, struts are still there , along with the kevlar , the plywood was turned to saw dust. even the cabinets are still in place ,this is a testament to how well weaver builds those fine rigs i was just on that boat last year what a bad ass rig the former owner and rick kept it in tip top shape but no boat should endor a 35 knt hit to a sea wall

What a shame
I'm sure there was no malice involved. looks like bad judgement. It is imperative to stay in the channel. I see a lot of boats taking short cuts across shoals. My insurance man wants me to be in the channel when I run aground. Sorry this happened.

I'd rather be on the dock with a drink on the rocks than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
