Red Snapper Fever In Alabama and NW Florida

Greetings anglers, I am Bobby Chavers owner of Boat Charters Extreme LLC a charter boat booking agency serving NW Florida and Alabama. We are half way into this years Red Snapper season and charter boat bookings are increasing each day. With each follow up call with my customers I am pleased to hear that the offshore fish are still hungry and plentiful. I am receiving 5 star ratings on the boats and the fishing for nearly all of my customer feedback followup calls. 10lb to 25lb red snappers seem to be a common size catch this June. These nice fish are being caught on charter trips as short as 4 to 6 hrs. In July it is expected that charter boat captains will have to steam out a little farther to seek out these nice sow snappers but as for now they are being found fairly near shore. Along with the nice snappers my customers are also returning to the dock with nice king mackerel and a few Spanish mackerel. Although Cobia season is currently closed many of them are finding their way onto angler's hooks. On June 14th a group of six on a six hour trip out of Orange Beach Alabama landed three of these nice Cobia that had to be released. The fact that the boat's fish box was already full of monster red snapper, mingos, triggers, and kings made the releases a bit easier to swallow. This spectacular Florida and Alabama deep sea fishing makes my job quite rewarding. The only common complaint I am hearing from anglers is that they are worn out with sore arms after reeling in so many fish. The last few weeks of superior snapper fishing results drives home that NW Florida and Alabama is definitely the red snapper capital of the world. It's absolutely the right time for sow red snappers! Happy Fishing to all...
