Hungry Trout 10-4-08
Capt Bill had the Magnolia Construction guys back down today. Wayne & Dennis Allen, and David Bennett fished with me. Found the fish stacked up where they have been for over two weeks now. After putting twenty keepers in the boat and counting over twenty other boats around me, I decided to go check out a spot that I knew was holding fish.
Arriving at my second stop I could see shrimp busting the water. I troll in being quiet, then low and behold here comes a guy full throttle right over the fish and pulls up to a cut I'm heading for. Get this as I troll up out of casting distance I hear him tell his buddy "look at this A hole, he is going to pull right up on us..that's why I don't like fishing on Saturday's". UNREAL. Some people are just that stupid. Whew, sorry about. Too bad thay don't make a pill to fix stupid!!! Anyway we ended up getting on a good school a few hundred yards out and put another 30 + fish in the box. Went try for reds at several locations only to find two fish today. I guess they took the day off today. Ran back to the trout and found them biting hot and heavy. Ended the day with 122 fish---specks, white trout, and reds. We left the trout biting every cast. My crew. Had a blast and so did I. Just another great day in paradise. Thanks guys, and Capt Bill for putting the trip together. |
