What size boat and range you have?By the 21,the midnight Lump might turn on becouse of the Mississippi River level is on a rise.It has been a hit and miss there sofar this year.Do you have GOOD charts of the area?If not,you will need them.By heading out of Grand Isle out s/e to the Lump, you will past thru the LOOP zone which is a big NO NO.Do look at the charts for what I am talking about.
Another thing is weather.Hope you have extra time plan for that. These fronts that has been coming from the s/w has been hitting us just about every three days or so.Hell,we just had two back to back in two days and the winds will blow for the next three and maybe more.
Do have baits for the wahoo bite which had been nice sofar this year.

Check out www.rodnreel.com.They have a good posting on what and how the bite is doing.

With the Mississippi river up and still rising,I would give the lump a try. From there look for any water temp breaks(70 deg or higher) in 250'+ water.Drag for wahoo there or any rigs around that.Problem is,if the weather is good, they will be a ton of boats everywere. Were are ya'll planning on staying at?How long ya'll planning on fishing? It looks like another front is coming thursday and should lay down by maybe saturday.Check www.rodnreel.com and click weather to get an idea.
