Offshore boats had wonderful fishing. Lots of dolphin most of which were big gaffers, yellowfin tuna and marlin catch and releases. The yellowfin tunas were mostly good size fat fish. Three blue marlin, four white marlin and a spearfish were caught and released. Everyone, party members and crew had to be very busy catching all those fine fish. One of the blue nmarlin estimated to weigh 400 to 450 pounds took 50 minutes to bring along side. It was very active doing a lot of jumping. Inshore boats had good catches of bluefish and spanish mackerel. The blue fish were were from a pound and a half to two pounds. Some smaller fish in the mix. An inshore boat and an offshore boat both landed nice size cobias (40 to 44 pounds). The cobias are durable and active evan in the cockpit.Miss Oregon Inlet caught flounders. Open boats had good tailor bluefish fishing.

A lot of good pictures today.I put a couple of extras ahead of this report. Outstanding big (gaffer) dolphin fishing.A 68 pound dolphin was caught. I would have liked to have gotten a picture of it. A beautiful mako was caught. I did get a picture of the mako. Everyone is faciated by those teeth. The shape of the whole fish is perfect in design. Some yellowfin tunas amongst the dolphin. An inshore boat had a great cobia catch. Ihe cobias ranged from 40 to 46 pounds. Deep drop bottom fishing produced tilefish and sea bass. Open boats had a lot of fun with one and onehalf to two pound bluefish and spanish mackerel on light tackle. Miss Oregon Inlet caught flounders. Water conditions in the sound have improved we should see some good speckled trout acivity. Grass has been a problem in some places.
