Delacroix Trout Slam 1-17-2012

Good times today fishing with John 'Holy Mackerel' Gremillion, and Scott 'Nightfisher' Walker out of Sweetwater Marina in Delacroix. We pulled out of Sweetwater at daybreak and were wetting our lines within 15-20 minutes. It did not take us long before we had trout hitting the box. Our first stop in 5 ft of water had the fish coming in under corks on Shiny Hineys by Texas Tackle factory and Matrix Shad. Our second stop in 11 ft of water had the fish coming in on Matrix Shad (shrimp Creole), TTF Killer Flats minnows (chicken on chain), and swimbaits. Our third and final stop had all our trout coming in on swimbaits. Scott had the hot rod today as he was unstoppable. Don't know if he put a voodoo curse on John and I but he hammered the fish today. Most of our 75 trout were in the 13-16 inch range today. Thanks guys as it was a very enjoyable day, good times as always.
