Welcome from Current Adventure Charters
First I would like to thank John and Sport Fisherman.com for giving me the opportunity to keep you informed about what we are catching in SE N.C. Current Adventure Charters is owned and operated by Capt. Brent Stanley. I (Capt. Brent) was born in Wilmington and have been fishing the waters of Wrightsville, Carolina and Topsail Beaches for over 35 years. I will use all of my knowledge and skill to put you on the fish, whether you are an experienced or a beginning angler. My goal is to see that you have the best fishing experience possible. Current Adventure Charters offers two boats to meet your fishing needs and/or desires. The original "Current Adventure" is a 17' Polar center console flats boat. She has an 8'-0" beam and drafts a mere 10" of water which allows me to get into the skinny water and chase redfish, flounder, trout, etc. "Current Adventure I" can accommodate 2 passengers and target all of your inshore species. The Current Adventure II is my newest boat. It is a 21' Sea Pro center console and is ready to target all of your inshore and offshore prey. With it's 8'-6" beam, 80 gallon fuel capacity, T-top, electronics, live wells and fish boxes, the "CA II" has the range and ability to get you into those great fighting fish such as Spanish and King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Albacore, Cobia, Grouper, Snapper and Flounder. During the summer months, Sailfish are always a possibility. "Current Adventure II" can accommodate up to 4 passengers for all your inshore and offshore destinations. If you are going to be in the Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach area, give me a call for date availabilities or just to get an up to date fishing report. If you are planning to visit other parts of our coast, call and I can give you recommendations of other guides to contact to help you in your fishing quest. For more information, see our web site at Current Adventure Charters or give me a call at area code (910) 200.9959. Thanks and good fishing, |

Wetdareel,
Welcome to the area. We are practically neighbors. I am off Gordon in Farrington Farms. Fishing should really start to heat up here in the next couple of weeks, if we can just get rid of these cold snaps. Water temps are in the low 50's, so look for things to kick off when we reach that 60 mark. There are some reds in the creeks now, but they sure are hard to get to bite. Try working some mud flats in the warmth of the day and let me know how you do. (Tip...tip your hooks on your grubs with some fresh shrimp) I have not been fishing much lately, just working on the boats getting everything shipshape for the upcoming season. Stay tuned for up coming reports. Good luck and Tight lines |
