Saturday we left the dock a little late and headed south. First fishin the boat was an AJ round 40lbs. The angler had never been off shore fishing so it was a warm welcome for the the big reef donkey on a rookie angler. We loaded up on the vermilian limited out and had to try and escape them. We also picked up a decent Red snapper around 10-12 lbs range. After the red was landed noticed a school of Mahi pickup up 3 out of the school. The Guys had a real good time with the trip and tool home a bunch of Meat.
Sunday on the other hand was the complete opposite, the bite was real slow. A couple of friends of mine charted the boat and I was real dissappointed in the fish that we brought home. we had a few vermillian and triggers as well as a couple of AJ's. I had a cobia on and it was missed gaffed and
got off. The crew said they had a good time but I could tell there was some aggrivation and disappointment int he day.
Hopefully they will come back and do it again. I hate having slow days, especially when they are good friends.
That would be freaking awsome, I dont know what I would do other than watch my line blaze off in to the deep. I will have to work on that with Tim and see what we can do. Unless you have another boat we can take to get out there for that. Tim is kinda particular about that kinda stuff.

Yeah I run Dr. Cortez's Everglades boat, the 35. Great boat plenty of forward space for fly anglers. I think a center console is the way to go offshore if you wanna fly fish. Sportfish when you wanna really punish the fish
yeah I know Cortez's boat, its a fine one for sure. Im down with it I would also like to get with you and get you to show me some techniques if you dont mind. I am still fairly new at fly fishing and could use a few pointers. But I am definatley down with catching AJs on the fly.
