Trophy Hunter charters- fishing report 3-26

More Good Bluefin Action! / Posted by: Kenneth Brown / 03/21/11

The weather started out marginal at best yesterday. The strong north wind from Saturday afternoon was holding on in morning but all the variables were in our favor. Our group was ready and said this was the only day that would work for them so we headed out. It was rough but we had a good angle for the ride. Fishing conditions had not changed a lot from the day before but we never found main body of tuna. You know fishing is good when you hook a large bluefin setting out the baits and say that the fishing was slower. Over all we had bites every 30 minutes or so. We did have some bad luck with the lighter leaders and broke a few more lines. This was the bluefin that we kept. We also releases a couple of others that were too big. The largest was around 300 pounds and earned a release citation. Thanks for the effort and hope everyone had a good time!
