Trip of a lifetime!!!

Just arrived back home from a dream vacation trip. My husband and I flew from Utah to Morehead City, NC on June 29th to fish with Wahoonbox and the Beast aboard Extreme Measures Charters. Our dream fishing voyage began on the evening of June 30th with a little shark fishing adventure. I have always wanted to enjoy the danger of shark fishing. Although it was just a breif trip to warm up lasting only a couple of hours, we battled 3 nice sharks and fulfilled my dream.

On July 2nd we headed to the blue water fishing for billfish, mahi, etc. Wow! Did we ever load the meat n the box. Citation size mahi until my knees were bruised and my hands were blistered while fighting mahis stand up on light tackle. Throw in a couple king mackeral and can you fill the ache. Total for the day 28 big mahis in the box and on the dinner table.

You think the Box and the Beast can't do it two days in a row. You would be wrong. July 3rd rerun of July 2nd, more mahinbox. Although I didn't get to catch the blue marlin, What a thrill to see the blue crashing the baits. We were targeting billfish and still catch 20+ mahis, and oh yeah they were even bigger than the day before.

I am 24 yrs old and got sick the only other time I went offshore fishing. Scared and nervous I ventured out with assurance from Capt. Brian that I would be fine. And boy was I fine. Capt. Brian told me on the way out that we would be in so much action that I would not have time to worry about anything else. True to his word, action started within a couple of minutes of the lines going in the water. This young lady felt so at home living the dream. I was amazed by their professionalism and the respect this rookie received. My husband got to do it all, even gaff fish. I'm still a little nervous about that so I left that to the men.

I want to thank Capt. Brian and Marty for all they did to make offshore fishing fun for my husband and I. I am already planning the next trip aboard Extreme Measures Charters and I WILL CATCH THAT BLUE MARLIN WITH THE BEAST AND THE BOX!!!
