August Fishing 2011

It was a off and on Month....The first of the month was good here in Murrells Inlet then the heat set in. The last 2 weeks have been much more productive. This past weekend we boated over 10 Red Drun per trip. All over the slot but none the less fun for the clients . After all, they come to see some string being pulled and it was a great site. Plenty of bait has shown up here in the Inlet so get your stuff together and come on down. As always, be safe out there and have a great time while here in Myrtle Beach/ Murrells inlet SC......Tight lines....Capt. Shannon

Fishing Report - August 22, 2011

Spottail bass (Red Drum) are biting . Most are too large to keep. Have heard that Trout are biting, but have caught only a few. DNR has requested that we release all Trout because of the winter kill off. Catching a few Flounder.

Whiting and Sharks are what we are catching the most of now.

Bottom fishing for Black Sea Bass opened June 1. The new limit is 5 per person.
