Lucky Lady, If you get a chance, try to come a little further south to Georgetown SC. The Tailwalker's Offshore Challenge is a great tournament hosted by Tailwalker Marine. They are a Contender dealer and go out of their way for all the teams with parties and dinners for 3 days. Generally between 175 200 boats. They say the early registration is way ahead of last year. Can't wait! May 7 to 9.

May 7? Do you mean June?

I would love to say I am there 100% with 20 tournaments scheduled for this year its a little tough to do

I have talked to Staurt @ tailwalker quite a few times and I hear nothing but excellent things about them

Might have to venture down for it and see what its all about if my schedule allows. A few of us were talking of heading to Myrtle beach at the end of the month just for fun

    Mary,

You might want to try and fish the US Open KMT in Southport the first weekend in Oct. entry fee is either 225 or 250. 2 day tournament with 25000 guaranteed first place plus the twt. usually 500 boats every year but it is a non SKA event. If you are going to be fishing SKA you might want to check out www.kingfishconnection.com It is a king mackerel fishing site and they have a roll call of boats who are planning on fishing Swansboro. We usually fish the KMTs in the southeast part of NC.

Well we are out of game for this weekend. To many unexpected things have came up trailer needs work, Chuck had to go to FL pick up a boat for a dealer, I had to go to MD drop a trailer off. Our trailer won't be ready till the last minute on Thurs

I was really looking forward to it. Who knows maybe I will come down and check the event out and terrorize the locals

I was going to fish it, but a couple charters is getting in the way, can't leave money to try and catch money this early in the season! And if you are looking at fishing the Yaupon or Lighthouse, might to think into a backup plan, live-baited pogies for about 6hrs at each spot last Saturday, not even a short strike. Beat the little 21' Contender out in solid 3-5 chop another good 20 miles to get to water that wasn't gross, caught a couple sharks trolling. John Gill has some 20lbers around, nothing great.

Tight Lines and good luck, the weather looks nice!
