SC Rec Fishing License

I guess all the state are going there but it seems like anohter nickle and dime fee where the money will disappear into the general fund, not the fishery.

Has everyone bought their license or has the state said there's a "grace period" this year?

Will be down to Little River/N Myrtle Beach next week for our fall visit to the condo. I usually fish few days near the inlet but just found out about the license thing...

No grace period that i know of. Far as I know, one has to have a license. Go to South Carlinas Dept of Natural Resources website and search to see to be sure though. You might even call them and discuus it. Be sure to say hello when you get here. We might go fishing!

They came out with the marine license reqt in CT this year too but the wardens made it clear they weren't going to ticket people this year, just give them warnings - ie buy your license next year. Just wondered if it was the same type of deal as I've never seen a warden since we've had the condo there.

Ace, where is your office? I'll stop in if we're in the area. Wife wants to go to Charleston or Savanah so 1 or 2 days are shot already.

The reqt was only for fishing from a boat. Surf fishing guys did not have to buy a license.
