Tuesday, July 20, 2010. The Mullet Man has just returned from a trip to marry off his Grandson so maybe now we can keep the fishing report up to date. A blow came in this weekend and slowed the fishing in most places. However, if you tried to fish, preferrably at night, along the soundside between Salvo and Avon you had a good chance of catching a drum, a blue, or a trout. The wind was keeping the water close to shore. There were a few sea mullet and croakers caught from the beach in the Salvo, Waves, Rodanthe area. A pedestrain path to Cape Point has opened but we did not get a report from fishermen who may have made the walk. A few spot and small sea mullet were caught in the Frisco area. spanish mackerel and blues were caught from Hatteras Inlet.
