Red Drum Tackle fishing report Buxton 10-4
Saturday Fishing Report
Three big Drum from the Point today along with a couple Yearlings and Bluefish. Small Sea Mullet and Spot caught on South Beaches. A good strong front came through last night and things cooled down real fast. You know it's getting cold when Dan replaces the Speedo with waders. So far the strong winds they predicted haven't shown and the weather looks good for the next several days - Grumpy.
Monday fishing report by Dan
Cool windy day made fishing harder, but there was some fish being caught. Black drum were found down by ramp 49 this morning along with some bluefish. At the jetties, a six pound 12 oz puppy drum was landed. At the point, bluefish were biting with one nice 36 inch red drum reported around 1 pm today. At sunset, Grumpy could not keep bait in the water due to too many bluefish hitting before the bait sunk to the bottom. Grumpy likes to catch bluefish while he fishing for drum.
Tuesday fishing report by Dan
Bluefish rules the point again today. Around noon today, a 44 inch drum was landed at the point. Black drum, sea mullet, pompano, and blowtoads were reported all the way up past Avon. Ramp 49 had some fish too.
