Wednesday fishing report by Dan
Dog sharks were reported down at the inlet this afternoon. No reports about the puppy drum at the inlet. A report of possible stripers two hundred yards off the beach at the jetties made me wish I could cast that far, but as luck would have it, they did not come any closer to the beach. I found out why Tony has not been on the beach lately, he found someone to take him striper fishing in a boat. So much for having his eyes on the beach to find the stripers around the point.

hursday with Bob!
It is just a crying shame that we could have such a nice day and not get a report from anybody. I had friends in boats off of Cape Point today and while the gannets were there by the tens of thousands they did not catch a striper. Buddy Jeanette fished the point this morning and all the jumbo doggies you wanted but no stripers. Water temp is cold at 46 on the south side of the point and 42-44 on the north side.

I did not talk with anyone fishng the pups on ramp 55 and hope they were still there.

Best to you and let the fish bite,

Bob Eakes

Snow day fishing report by Dan
It's snowing side ways and getting deeper as the day goes on. Very few fishermen went out to the beach today. I bet the stripers are biting like there's no tomorrow out at the point. Kristie has a E-mail from a friend who said "They caught eight stripers down at the inlet (Hatteras) during the night last week." Maybe the stripers are here, but only want to eat at night? If so they will starve before I will feed them at night.
