[Fishing Report]

10-1-11 Vance family
The Vance family had a good day aboard Point Runner despite the choppy weather forecast. Sea conditions turned out to be much better than expected. We landed at the 680 where the best of the yellowfin bite has been lately but we only caught some small blackfin and false albacore. Several boats worked down towards the to Point and reported a few tuna bites so we headed that direction. Once there, we had several tuna bites before we held on to one. For the day we ended up with 4 yellowfin, and about several small blackfin. Wish we had held on to that blue marlin that got after us. A couple of other boats landed a nice wahoo. Thanks to Ryan, Jessica, Brittany, Guy, Anne, and Jennifer for spending the day with us. Hope you guys can return soon.


10-2-11 returned to the OIFC
Tuna fishing was very good for the boats who made it out today. Thanks to Ashley Bahen for taking this picture of the Point Runner in our slip at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. She and Greg moved it there today. Hope we can throw some tuna on the pretty new dock tomorrow (Monday).

10-3-11 tuna and sailfish
Thanks to Chris, Bob, Bill, and Schrader from MD for heading offshore aboard Point Runner today. We made a pretty good catch of yellowfin and blackfin tuna and also released a sailfish. Most of today's action was below the point.
