[Fishing Report]

10-22-11 busy fish cleaners
Quite a few boats fished today out of Oregon Inlet. There were some yellowfin caught, an occasional wahoo and lots of blackfin tuna which kept the fish cleaners busy. Thanks to Don, Eddie, Chuck, Arthur, Jason, and Ken for fishing aboard Point Runner today. After we boxed 25 blackfin we moved out to deeper water hoping for a yellowfin wham. We saw the marks on the fishfinder but never had the bites. Still, our guys have plenty of fresh tuna fillets to take up the road.

10-26-11 three hoos and some tuna
We hauled in a tasty catch of wahoo and tuna for Betty Newsome Amos, Bob Amos, Lee Foresman, Ibis Chambers, Lana Green and Marvin Green. We landed at the 680 line and found plenty of birds but never had a bite after two hours of trolling. Meanwhile other boats were reporting some blackfin being caught about ten miles south of our location so we worked down to the Point. That is where we had all our bites for the day. 3 out of 4 wahoo up to 36 pounds. Plus six blackfin and a yellowfin tuna. Thanks Betty, hope your crew enjoyed the day aboard Point Runner.
