[Fishing Report]

4-1-11 nice pair
This was the last chance for us to get a photo like this in 2011. Today was the final day of the rules allowing us to keep one bluefin under 73 inches per day and also keep one giant over 73 inches per year. That's why we brought home this nice pair at 72 and 76 inches. We had hooked a much larger giant this morning and spent over and hour going in reverse trying to regain line before the big fish pulled off.

Now, in their infinite wisdom Marine Fisheries has decided to restrict us to keeping one bluefin under 59 inches. We may also keep one 27-47 inches. The new slot limits go into affect on 4/2/11.

Now I wish we had kept that 92 incher we released a couple of weeks ago.

Carter Ball, Tyler Gill and friends joined us today for some Bluefin tuna catch and release. We were hoping to land one under 59", but all the fish we caught were 200 pounds or better. One boat caught a blue marlin today.

Went down to the boat to take care of a couple things and turned the vhf radio on to see if anyone made it out. Two boats braved the windy seas and were rewarded with good bluefin tuna fishing. Happy to report both boats were coming in with their two slot fish plus one is also bring home a mako shark.

Don't miss this incredible fishing, with a good chance to bring home some meat.
