Offshore boats devided up between those that prefered white marlin and those that prefered dolphin and tuna. The marlin boats had a great day hoisting as many flags as one outrigger could hold. A group that had concentrated on catching marlin on fly rods took the day off and trolled using light to medium weight conventional tackle. A blue marlin was caught and released by one of the dolphin-tuna boats. While they were bailing dolphin a blue marlin rose from below into the school of dolphin shaking it's bill about. Since dolphin for dinner seemed to be on the marlin's mind a live dolphin was presented with a hook in it and 300 pounds of bluemarlin took off. That was exciting. It took awhile to subdue the big fish and bring it to the boat. It was hooked in the side of it's mouth making an esay release. Tuna were a mixture of yellowfins and blackfins. One of the malin boats caught a wahoo. A single angler caught 14 white marlin. All the marlin were released.Open boats caught grey trout, flounders, tailor bluefish and sea mullet. A 34 inche striped bass was caught.Miss Oregon Inlet caughtpigfish and flounders.
