Impressive!!" | Tiberias - 22' | 08/28/11

Irene looked impressive at a distance, but she ended up just like that girl across the room. As she got closer she just fell apart. Thank goodness right! If she would have looked any better up close, you could have ended up married with two kids and broke! The point is, just because you escaped this disaster, don't think you can predict the next one. I haven't met a woman that was predictable yet. It is best to look straight ahead, give quick yes or no answers until you find out what you are being accused of. Then agree, shut up, and do what you are told. As you can see I have weathered many storms and will live to weather many more. It is always best to be prepared for the worst and hope for the best. You just never know when she might turn on you. LOL! See ya on the water!

Capt. Tim Gallamore with the flounder he "bagged" just prior to Irene. Tim was using his Capt. Tim's Channel Rig.

"Greatest near miss" | Get Busy | 08/27/11

For all the out of town people that visit the fishing report for updates I am glad to say I rode the Island from one end to the other. That was the Greatest close call I can remember. I checked ten homes and boats of friends and NO damage. Should be a great Labor Day weekend ahead.

"Hello out there ...." | OIFC World Cat / Carolina Cat | 08/27/11

Can anybody here me? Are we live? If you can here me, we are OK. Despite a sleepless night, dealing with the acorns being pounded onto my roof, we have arisen this morning to more chaos. I have all ready broken one of the blades on my rake, so things may be worse than I feared. BUT, despite all this, the boats we left at the dock are still floating, the American flag on the dock is still flying and the OIFC will be open for business today at 2pm.
