"In the red or black?" | Get Busy | 09/08/11
Today started out with an awesome sunrise and got nothing but better. First stop while the tide was up we targeted flounder. As the tide fell we moved on to docks close to deep water and creek mouthes. Closer to low tide we hit the deep water structures. With 14 reds , 7 blacks and a few flounder released we headed back to the docks at OIFC. We only kept enough for dinner tonight and let the rest go to fight another day.

You may have heard the Speckle Trout took a beating this past winter and many froze in the backwaters during times of extreme cold. The past couple of days while cast netting shrimp for bait I have caught small trout. Even the keeper trout caught we are releasing to help out. They say even without more cold weather it will take (3) years to get good numbers back, so help out and practice catch and realease.
