Went on a pleasure trip with a couple of my teachers and a friend. Started fishing at the 480 line. The recent NW blows has obviously blown the warmer water way offshore. I looked all day for 70+ water but could only find 69.5 at the Big Rock. We fished from the 480 line north to the Rock and finally found some fish on the NE corner of the Rock. We were only able to catch 1 Yellowfin in this cool water but we did manage 4 small kings and several albacore. A few of the boats around us were targeting kings and did really well. As I listened to the chatter on the radio, it was apparent that the bite was not around on Tuesday. Hopefully, Wednesday will be better for the guys that are able to go. We desperately need to get in to a SW flow and stay there for an extended period of time to get the warm water closer. This has been a tough Spring, but HOPE springs eternal and warmer and better days are in our future. Until the next trip, tight lines to all.

A happy Basketball Coach
